Celebrating 35 years

JPL celebrating 35 yearsThis year Jack Pennington Ltd is celebrating it’s 35th anniversary. Thirty five years is quite an achievement and we are very proud of the business we have developed through the hard work and commitment of all our employees, past and present.

When a vibrant, successful, 55 year old nut and bolt salesman found himself in a dilemma, should he see out his career with the World’s largest manufacturer and distributor of fasteners that offered job security albeit with a tough regime of red tape and tiresome politics or try something different. Fortunately Jack Pennington took the second option and left to set up a small nut and bolt stockists with his son Keith. Over the last thirty five years the company has been transformed, it can now claim to be one of the UK’s largest independent specialist distributors to the building services industry, with an enviable reputation and often considered as a benchmark for its competitors.

New Products

New, innovative products are coming to market all the time, we actively seek out those we feel would benefit our customers and listen to suggestions made by customers already using a product that makes their job easier. As well as brand new products we're continually expanding our range, adding addtional ranges that complement our existing products, often at the request of our customers. Information on some of the recent additions can be found here, including Conlok Boxes, Marigold gloves, Swiss One safety glasses, HelaCon Cable connectors, King Dick 1 for 6 screwdriver and Erico TSGB stud mounting bracket.

Pre Assembled Frames

Samples of AssembliesOver the past year we’ve made a significant investment in our fabrication facility providing additional space and a substantial increase in capacity. This is to meet the increasing demand for our cutting service and more importantly the increased demand for our pre assembled frames.

Where a customer has a run requiring a number of the same or very similar frames to support ancillary services we’re able to build the whole frame in our workshop and deliver it to site for immediate installation. The design of the frames may be relatively simple with only a couple of drops to complex frames capable of supporting cable tray as well as pipe clips and phenolic blocks already in place.

It's all in the delivery

JPL VansUtilising our fleet of over 10 vans and trucks we're able to offer a next day service throughout the North of England from Newcastle to Nottingham, Liverpool to Hull. Because the vans set off early each day they are in a position to deliver most of their loads in a morning, which provides a significant benefit to our customers.

Where deliveries are required outside the range of our delivery fleet we utilise reputable carriers and hauliers who we’ve dealt with for many years, so they understand our requirements and provide the type of service our customers demand.

Whether the deliveries are made with our vehicles or an external carrier, long lengths are catered for, allowing us to offer a delivery of anything we have in stock within 24 hours!
