Cutting energy use is important to most companies and individuals, whether to reduce CO2 emissions and so improve their environmental credentials or just to cut down on expenditure in these tough times. Lighting shops, offices, warehouses and factories is a significant percentage of the electricity used within businesses and is now an easy target for reduction.
Although there have been improvements in lighting with the introduction of compact fluorescents, the new generation of LED lamps make much further gains in efficiency. Typical energy savings by using LED technology being:

These new generation of bulbs allow for the direct replacement of the traditional bulb, in most cases needing no adjustment to the original fitting and provide a comparable level of light output. In addition to the energy savings LED technology provides, they also have a life span in excess of 50000 hours, leading to a considerable saving in replacement costs and time.
Jack Pennington Ltd are introducing a range of low energy bulbs and lights starting with a range of floodlights as replacements for Halogens, SON’s and Metal Halide lighting. We’re also introducing a range of GU10 lamps to replace traditional halogen bulbs.

These LED GU10 lamps have a life expectancy in excess of 50000 hours, are constructed with an aluminium heat sink and contain no mercury or other hazardous material. They are not dimmable.
